La Casetta del Castello is the ideal place to get to know Castello di Neive, its philosophy and, of course, its wines and the people who produce them.

You can start with a tour of the castle's cellars, still steeped in history and full of stories to be told.

Already built in 1750s to produce wine, this very cellar was the place in which Louis Oudart managed to create one of the first dry and fully fermented Nebbiolo wine.

You will see the carriage of the Count Riccardi-Candiani, the monumental scale and the wine press used in the 19th century by Louis Oudart and Camillo di Castelborgo to make wine.

Up to this day, next to the barrels in which our wines mature, you can see the "infernotto" (old underground tunnel) and the ice cellar where our oldest bottles rest, including the first Barbaresco produced in the castle in 1937.

The tour will end in the underground tunnel where we store our sparkling wine, a Piemonte Spumante Metodo classico from pinot noir that here matures on the lees until the remuage and dégorgement.

Then, the wine tasting with our qualified sommeliers, who will give you an accurate description of our wines, their characteristics and production techniques.
